An amazing journey in the footsteps of the apostle Paul (Saul) in Greece – second and third journey: 9 days.
In this amazing journey we will follow Paul’s missionary second and third journeys in Greece. We will start from Neapolis and Philippi, to: Amphipolis, Apollonia, Thessaloniki, Berea, Athens all the way till Corinth. We will visit all the cities where Paul used to talk to the people (first to the Jews and then to the gentiles), taught them about the word of GOD and about the good news about Jesus the Messiah. We will see some of the original 2000 years old Roman roads upon which he walked and visit the ruins of some of the synagogues where he taught and where sometimes the local communities wanted to kill him, the Areopagus near the famous acropolis in Athens (and the acropolis of Athens itself).
In the museums we will encounter the artefacts that he saw and touched.
We will also enjoy the best of authentic Greek hospitality and GRAET Greek food!
Day 1: Arrive Thessaloniki Greece. Transfer to your hotel
Overnight: Thessaloniki
Day 2: Kavala-Philippi- Lydia Drive to Kavala and then to Philippi. Kavala was the port of Philippi. Paul passed through with Silas on his way from Asia Minor to Philippi. The city was visited by the Apostle Paul. From the Acts of the Apostles and the letter to the Philippians, early Christians concluded that Paul had founded their community. We will explore the ruins of the ancient sites such as the forum, market, basilica and theatre. In Philippi, Paul preached his first evangelical sermon and baptized the first Christians in Europe. You will see both the “baptismal” site where Lydia was baptized as the first European woman and the crypt where Paul was imprisoned. To end the day, we will return to Thessaloniki to our hotel for a short rest. This evening we will enjoy an evening meal in one of the best Taverns in Thessaloniki.

The pearls of Greece: Mythology, culture, and the best of Greek gastronomy: 9 days.
Greece is very famous with its mythology, culture and of course great cuisine and gastronomy. In this amazing journey we will visit many places where the stories of the Greek mythology took place like: Mt Olympus – the dwelling of the Olympian gods, Oedipus syndrome, Mt Parnassus and the mouza (museum), and more. We will learn about many famous expressions that we use nowadays which are taken from Greek mythology
We will also visit Olympia see and learn about the Olympic games in ancient Greece, the oracle of Delphi, Meteora monasteries and more.
We will also put a very special emphasis about the Greek great cuisine: from great lamb meat in the mountains in the north and great cheeses made of sheep and goat milk, to special unique vegetables in the center all the way to great fish and sea food along the great most beautiful coastline of Greece.
